How to Consign With Us

A Bit Less accepts saddles, tacks, riding apparel, and other equine supplies and products for consignment. Consignments are accepted by walk-ins during business hours or by appointment. 

Items must be clean and in good condition. We ask that you items being consigned are in 'show ready' condition. Boots should be cleaned and polished. Tack should be cleaned and conditioned. Items brought in need of cleaning will be refused or will be charged a cleaning fee to be deducted from consignor's balance after sale. A Bit Less, LLC does not accept items with tears, missing pieces, stains, foul odors, or otherwise deemed unmarketable. 

If you have a target price you are seeking for your item(s), we are happy to discuss this with you. If we are not able to meet your target price, we will return the item to you. Pricing is based on the condition, quality, age, and marketability of the item. 

Consignors must be 18 years of age and be the rightful owner of the item(s) being consigned. 

Consignors living outside Central Oregon can email us a completed consignment agreement, including inventory list and pictures of items to be consigned. If accepted, items can be shipped to the store to be marketed and sold. Consignors are responsible for the cost of shipping. All other terms & conditions apply.

Before consigning with us, we ask that you review our Consignment Agreement in it's entirety. A signed copy of the Consignment Agreement with complete contact information and inventory list, and Photo I.D. are required before A Bit Less will accept your item(s).

A Bit Less will retain a 50% commission on general merchandise and a 30% commission on all saddles. 

Consignment Period for saddles and general merchandise shall be 180 days (90 days for apparel) from the date the item is accepted for consignment. After 90 days (45 days for apparel), the price of the item may be reduced by up to 50% at the discretion of A Bit Less.

Payment of any funds generated through the sales of consigned items will be made only during the consignment period and at the request of the consignor. 

A Bit Less does not send out notification of the consignor’s balance or notify the consignor when an item sells. It is the consignor’s responsibility to inquire about their balance in person, by telephone at 541- 323-3262, or by emailing: 

Payments will be available no later than 5 calendar days following the request. A Bit Less will mail checks upon request. A $1.00 service fee will be charged for mailed checks and it will be deducted from the total of funds issued.

If requested payments are left unclaimed after 30 days or the consignor does not request funds generated through sales within 30 days after the consignment period ends, payments will become null and void and the consignor forfeits his/her right to funds. 


Consignors may choose to use their balance in full as store credit and receive a store discount of 5% up to the value of their current balance, on all items purchased.

Return Policy

In-store purchases of new merchandise may be returned within 14 days of purchase. Online purchases of new merchandise may be returned either in store or through mail within 14 days of delivery. Used and consigned items are nonrefundable.

Our return policies are always subject to local, state and federal restrictions.
